Voluntours - Responsible and ethical volunteering
Introduction

VOLUNTOURS is an award winning volunteer organisation that has won multiple Regional and International awards in Responsible and Ethical Tourism. We have responsible and ethical volunteer projects in South Africa, Mauritius, Madagascar, Nepal, Peru, Malaysia and Borneo.

Choose from conservation projects with wildlife, dolphins, great white sharks, orangutans and lemurs adding to scientific research and development in many threatened and endangered environments and habitats. Or humanitarian volunteer projects involving communities, both rural and urban, getting involved with pre-schools; orphans and vulnerable children (OVC’s); teaching English; building schools, wells; pit latrines; bicycle trailers and sandbag houses; sports development; sustainable initiatives and community development.

Our commitment is to provide both the community and volunteer with a mutually benefiting experience which is transparent, sustainable, ethical and above all responsible.

Ultimately you, the volunteer, decides who will receive your hard earned money, but it vital that organisations provide responsible and ethical programmes too.

Look beyond marketing- speak when selecting your volunteer organisation. Look at the way the organisation presents and markets itself, and what’s in it for the community.

Responsible volunteers choose responsible companies!
